Ashburton College offers students a wide range of subjects and activities in a caring, supportive, secondary school learning environment. We are proud of the sense of community amongst staff, students, parents and caregivers, and this is reflected in our positive record of academic, sporting and cultural successes.
Ashburton College operates a Ministry of Education instigated and approved Enrolment Scheme. All students who live within Ashburton College’s Zone are eligible to enrol.

Home Zone
All students who live within the home zone shall be eligible to enrol at Ashburton College. Please click here for details, if you are not sure whether you are in the home zone, please contact the College.

Out-of-Zone Enrolments
Out of Zone Enrolments are able to be considered to a number which doesn’t place Ashburton College’s roll to capacity, above 1280. The number of out of zone enrolments may vary from year to year. If the exceeds 1280, applications will be processed in the following order of priority – click here

Step 3 – complete online enrolment (all year levels)
Domestic students – complete the enrolment form click here
International students –complete the International Student application form or for enquires email international@ashcoll.school.nz
KEY 2025 DATES FOR 2026 YEAR 9 ENROLMENTS:
Tuesday 20 May |
Information will be sent to contributing schools regarding enrolment. |
Tuesday 9 June |
Information sent to families asking students to choose subject options for 2026 |
Wednesday 11 June |
Open Evening for all prospective Year 9 students and their families, 4:30pm to 6:30pm. |
Friday 13 June |
The date we would like all online enrolments submitted by, or manual enrolment cards handed into contributing schools. |
2025 |
Enrolment interviews with all prospective 2026 Year 9 students and parents/caregivers will be on the following dates: Friday 13 June 2025 9:00am to 3:00pm Tuesday 17 June 2025 9:00am to 6:30pm Thursday 26 June 2025 9:00am to 6:30pm Wednesday 26 July 2025 9:00am to 6:30pm Monday 21 July 2025 9:00am to 6:30pm Wednesday 30 July 2025 9:00am to 6:30pm |
