Ashcoll Uniform

Ashburton College students are expected to wear the correct school uniform. Uniform items can be purchased from Ashburton College, Tots to Teens, and The Warehouse, depending on the item.

Main Uniform

Jacket

Navy or black soft shell, fleece, or waterproof jacket. Hoodies are not permitted.

Tie

Ashburton College regulation red tie.
Available from Ashburton College.

Knitwear

Ashburton College regulation school jersey with red band and V neck.
Available from Tots to Teens.

Short Sleeve Shirt

Ashburton College light blue shirt to be worn with shorts, or white polo shirt to be worn with the blue and white check skirt.

Long Sleeve Shirt

Ashburton College light blue shirt to be worn with trousers or kilt.
Available from Tots to Teens.

Skirt

Ashburton College blue and white check skirt.
Available from Tots to Teens.

Kilt

Ashburton College kilt.

Shorts

Grey drill school shorts.
Available from Tots to Teens and The Warehouse.

Trousers

Dark grey school trousers or black formal dress trousers.
Available from Ashburton College and The Warehouse.

Socks

Ashburton College regulation grey socks with red and navy bands are to be worn with shorts or lavalava. Plain white ankle socks are to be worn with the blue and white check skirt. Navy or black knee high socks are to be worn with the kilt.

Tights

Navy or black tights are to be worn with the kilt.

Shoes

Plain black or brown lace up, slip on, or buckled T bar style shoes.

The following footwear is not permitted: platform shoes, boots, or sandals. Shoes must sit below the ankle bone.

Uniform Optional Extras

The following optional uniform items are available from Ashburton College:

Blazer, lavalava, beanie, bucket hat, cap, scarf, and regulation vest.

A plain navy blue or black hijab may also be worn.

Physical Education Uniform

For Year 9 and 10 Physical Education, students require an Ashburton College regulation PE top, available from Tots to Teens, and plain navy or black shorts.

Jewellery

Studs are permitted. Due to health and safety requirements, loop, ring, or dangling piercings are not permitted.

Hair

Hair should be clean and tidy. Long hair must be tied up in Technology rooms, laboratories, and during physical activities in PE for health and safety reasons.
