International students can start at Ashburton College at any time of the year. It is preferable to start at the beginning of a term.
Ashburton College offers a wide range of subjects. International students can study subjects at more than one level, it is best that students take subjects most suited to your ability.
For example students may do Science at the year level they are enrolled in, but do Mathematics at a higher level as it is a less language based subject.
Yes, there is no additional cost required for ESOL tuition.
Yes, it is compulsory. Insurance can be organised in your home country, by your agent or we can organise insurance coverage for you with Uni-Care, a reputable company used by many International Students.
You will live with a homestay family. Each homestay family is carefully selected. Our homestay co-ordinator will regularly visit and monitor your homestay as required under the Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021.
