Counsellors

At our college, the Counselling Team works alongside Ako teachers, Heads of Year Levels, Senior Leadership, and whānau to promote the hauora and social–emotional wellbeing of all ākonga. Our team includes three experienced, qualified counsellors who are also registered teachers. We are committed to supporting students with care, manaakitanga, and professionalism. Our counsellors provide a confidential, supportive, and safe space where students can navigate personal, emotional, and social challenges with guidance and respect.

We warmly welcome contact from ākonga and whānau, and we work closely with a wide range of community agencies. We can provide guidance regarding the support available to ākonga and whānau from community agencies and can also refer students to external agencies to further enhance their wellbeing. Support at the College also incorporates free onsite services including Public Health Nurse, Physiotherapist, 24/7 Youth Workers and Health Promotion Advisor.
